A day on the Via Ferrata comte de Lascaris in Tende
The via ferrata in Tende, at the entrance of the valley of Marvels is unique because it offers two different levels of difficulty.
But above all it is your guide Sylvain who is unique! He is always chilled out and will suggest trying both levels depending on how you evolve and what you feel like doing.
Sylvain will lead the group on a short 20-minute approach walk and then the fun starts! You will discover a wild environnement and a dizzying landscape overlooking the magnificent medieval village of Tende and its’ snow-capped alpine summits. A vertical setting which will take your breath away!
The route of the via ferrata des comtes de Lascaris runs along beautiful limestone cliffs and passes by the chapel of St Sauveur which proudly overlooks the village. This via ferrata is fun and varied… and don’t worry, you will get on fine on the Himalayan and monkey bridges, the 100 metre long zip wires and the vertical ladders.
Transport
The village of Tende is 1 hour 15 minutes from Nice and Monaco.
To reach the meeting spot, if you are arriving from Nice, take the direction towards Italy and then take the N204 up the Roya valley. Tende is a 40 minute drive from Vintimille.
